Table for Two? Hand sewn placemats and napkins

Well actually four!  My father commissioned me (does family count as a commission?) to make these table sets for two different couples who recently got married.  The tutorial I used for these DIY Reversible Cloth Placemats & Napkins can be found on Centsational Style.

The first request was for his great nephew and new wife. The wedding colors were blue and purple. He requested the fabric be somewhat formal. Fine dining anyone?

The second request was for the daughter of a lifelong friend of his. He asked that one side be like the tablecloths in Italian restaurants and the other side more traditional.

A simple, easy yet rewarding sewing project that I hope the new couples will use to enjoy many meals together.

Hope all is well and sparkle on! Abbie

  1. Oh — reminds me, I keep wanting to do placements for my work friends. We have a cafeteria at work, but sometimes we like to get together and share our yummy leftovers. Thanks for the inspiration — your sets are beautiful.
