When I saw Tracy of It’s a T-Sweets Day Crazy Quilt Hearts I went ga-ga 😍 over them and had to make a few for myself. Her post has a step by step tutorial with pretty photos.
Instead of making a quilt, I am thinking of making little stuffed pillows. 💕
I started by using three 2 1/2” wide strips sewn together and then cut in various angles. But then as I sewed I kept saying “Oh this little scrap will look pretty too” and so on until I ended up with this super scrappy hodgepodge:
I am going to cut the heart shapes so that the precious bunny fabric is each heart’s center. ❤️ It’s fun to use all those built in embroidery stiches too.
Today is Groundhog Day and it would make my day if you listened to this radio spot: Inside The Inner Circle With Punxsutawney Phil’s Handlers
The reporter is my sister Anne. She went to Punxsutawney on special assignment for WPSU and the podcast was aired nationally on NPR!
Phil and his wife Phyllis live in a groundhog mansion for two, a den at the local library. Here are a few photos Anne got of Phil:
I am so proud of her; her piece is funny and endearing and it is another brush with fame for me!
Phil your shadow has predicted 6 more weeks of winter but that’s okay I still ❤️ you!
