I’m so happy with my finished project for the Mystery Quilt Along, hosted by Tracy of It’s a T-Sweets Day! and Cindy of In a Stitch Quilting.
The mystery was the project (you choose) and the requirement was to use the challenge fabric, Biscuits and Gravy “You Be You” in Fluffer Nutter Blue.

Since my fabric purge and commitment to use higher quality fabric for my projects, I decided that my blocks would be accompanied perfectly with another design from the BasicGrey for Moda Biscuits and Gravy collection, “Raise Babies” in Fluffer Nutter Blue as the border.

Here is my finished runner!
The center is four 6 inch blocks designed by Jen Shaffer of Patterns by Jen that you can find on Craftsy (for free until 6/19.) I thought the design went with the geometric feel of the challenge fabric and the floral I added is a perfect contrast to it.
The binding is made from a piece of Timeless Treasures Echo blender in Navy (a purge survivor.) The white is a Kona solid whose name I forget 🤫
Ah, it feels luxurious to sew an entire project with these quality cottons. The fabric is such so much better behaved. I didn’t have to scold it once! 😉
The quilting is stitch in the ditch and on the border I practiced my FMQ (best viewed at a distance!)
Thank you Tracy and Cindy! Your QAL was fun with a unique twist. You guys kept me motivated to make this project a finish and I’m so happy with it!

I have to say I’ve been wondering why this collection is called Biscuits and Gravy with Fluffer Nutter being bluish gray? Hmmm…now that’s a mystery!

I’ve been thinking about ordering a charm square pack or layer cake of Biscuits and Gravy, but couldn’t find a listing which showed all the fabrics in the bundle. Is it mostly cool colors or is there a good mix?

Yes, I would say cooler shades of blues, reds, some yellow. It is a pretty mix of designs. I’ll send you a photo in email 🙂

Abbie, your use of the Fluffer Nutter fabric was perfect for this table runner! I didn’t realize that there were coordinating fabrics. Those blocks are so well done! I wondered, too, how that fabric got its name. With a name like Fluffer Nutter, I’d think of something in a tan or white like peanut butter or marshmallow! A mystery indeed!

Thank you so much Kathy! When I searched for the Fluffer Nutter, I saw it was a part of a collection which made picking a coordinating fabric easier for me 😉
I agree! I hear the name and want a peanut butter fluffer-nutter sandwich!
