Today is the release of the final block of the Sew Let’s Quilt Along, Block 13, “Who’s Got the Thimble?” designed by April Adams of JANDA Bend Quilts. This is a pieced block with a fun twist, one of the thimbles is missing!

I have never made a tumbler block before so this was extra fun for me. I’m so pleased with how it turned out.
April’s pattern provides precise directions to cutting you tumbler’s with a rotary cutter and ruler or with an Accuquilt die.
The thimble and tumbler pieces are reverse of each other and at first the sewing of the two together took a bit to get used to. Though sewn on an angle the two pieces will press apart to lie as a straight piece.
Have fun with your thimbles! It’s always a pleasure to see what everyone makes.
Please visit the Segment 3 hosts to see this block in a variety of fabric and color inspirations. Hosts also provide their own tips to sewing the block, as well as answer any questions you have.
