Fall Into a QAL Block 11 Release!

I love barns! Especially in the fall. Growing up in Centre County, Pennsylvania there were many in the surrounding farm lands. I thought they looked most pretty in the autumn; a red building against the backdrop of turning leaves and lots of hale bales in the fields. So it is my pleasure to bring you … Continue reading Fall Into a QAL Block 11 Release!

And it was all Yellow 🎵

Spring has been slow to visit us in Pennsylvania. Making this hanging for our front door cheered me up. I practiced my FMQ and have to say this was the … Continue reading And it was all Yellow 🎵

This Irish Chain quilt was finished just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! Which also happens to be National Quilt Day too! Thank you again for all your input into making “Rhapsody in Blue.” So, since completing my mixed (emotions) fabric quilt and reading all your comments with the resounding consensus “Invest in and use quality fabric,” … Continue reading Celebrating

Mixing it up!

“Rhapsody in Blue” quilt top finished and layers almost all pinned into place....yippee! 🎉 I’m sorting through some mixed fabric emotions. I can say now that I wish the lightest blue blocks, which are in reality more of a blue purple-ish gray, were a brighter truer blue. There is also some troubling puffiness with this fabric, … Continue reading Mixing it up!
