Holiday projects taking off…

Mug Rug Madness

Ok, three does not equal madness but I want to make many more to fill a basket so the recipients can pick one of their choosing. It will be interesting to see if who I had in mind as I made each one picks that for themselves…or not!

2nd “Santa Belt” block by Laura Piland Pillow

This is the second “Santa Belt” block (so quick and fun to make) I made from the
I Wish You a Merry QAL.  The finished 12″ x 12″ block fits tightly around a 12″ x 12″ pillow form, creating the perfect Santa belly!

2nd “North Star” block by Kathleen McCormick

I also decided to make a second “North Star” block with a more muted yellow background for the I Wish You a Merry QAL quilt instead of the using brighter yellow I originally chose. The first shall be used for? A pillow gift of course!

Scarf/Nighttime Snuggle Wrap

Colder weather always makes me want to knit and as it has been some time since I have, I got back to it with an easy garter stitch scarf, for moi :) Fat yarn and big needles (size 13 US) made this fast to finish. I bought more yarn in the perfect color for an unnamed person to start another for a Christmas gift.

I love to make handmade gifts for family for Christmas but how did crunch time get here already??? I’ve seen so many neat gifts and holiday projects you all have been working on, giving me ideas and inspiration! It’s hard to decide what to do next, isn’t it? Time to prioritize :p

I love the idea of letting people choose their rug mugs. Those are so cute.
