With St. Patrick’s Day in mind, a made a mini Irish chain quilt!

With Kona green solids and a shamrock quilted in each corner.
An Irish Chain is made with alternating nine patch blocks. For the alternating squares I used an adorable barnyard animal print called Country Days by Heidi Boyd. It was a collection for Red Rooster Fabrics that is sadly no longer operating.
The Shamrock quilting I did is a design of Lori Kennedy’s of Lori Kennedy Quilts. I can do FMQ so much better on smaller spaces!

For each petal on the shamrock, this brings a wish your way: Good health, good luck, and happiness for today and every day.” —Irish blessing

Hi Abigail, I love this mini quilt! What a nice surprise. Such a good idea for St. PAtrick’s Day. The green blocks are perfect as are the ones with all the different animals–those are so darling– each one.. Love your shamrocks in each corner!!! YOU really are an expert and so creative! Love seeing it. Love, Mom

The Country Days fabric is just perfect! What a fun and happy quilt! Lori Kennedy is such a great resource. She makes things look so easy. You did a great job on the Shamrocks. Here is an Irish blessing for you: May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home, May good and faithful friends be yours wherever you may roam.
