St. Patrick’s Day Mini Quilt

With St. Patrick’s Day in mind, a made a mini Irish chain quilt!

Irish Chain Mini Quilt 22″x22″

With Kona green solids and a shamrock quilted in each corner.

An Irish Chain is made with alternating nine patch blocks. For the alternating squares I used an adorable barnyard animal print called Country Days by Heidi Boyd. It was a collection for Red Rooster Fabrics that is sadly no longer operating.

The Shamrock quilting I did is a design of Lori Kennedy’s of Lori Kennedy Quilts. I can do FMQ so much better on smaller spaces!

For each petal on the shamrock, this brings a wish your way: Good health, good luck, and happiness for today and every day.” —Irish blessing

Love seeing it. Love, Mom

  2. The Country Days fabric is just perfect! What a fun and happy quilt! Lori Kennedy is such a great resource. She makes things look so easy. You did a great job on the Shamrocks. Here is an Irish blessing for you: May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home, May good and faithful friends be yours wherever you may roam.
